Larry Lee Epke

Larry L. Epke, age 75, of Topeka, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 in Topeka.  Larry was born September 20, 1946 in York, Nebraska, the son of Edwin and Paula (Gocke) Epke.  Larry graduated from Utica High School in Utica, Nebraska.  He served in the Army Reserve. He married Sherri Johnson August 9, 1996 in Miami, OK.  She survives.  Larry worked for the City of Topeka for the street department.  Larry and Sherri enjoyed boating at Lake Perry and spending time with friends on canoe trips.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wayne and Rex Epke and a sister-in-law, Lois Epke.  He is survived by his wife, Sherri Johnson; stepchildren, Deanna (Shiloah) Hutsen of Topeka, Cristi (Chane) Beyer of Silver Lake and Luke (Cassie) Johnson of Topeka; a sister, Karen of Nebraska and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  He will lie in state Tuesday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka.
