OBITUARY: L. Frances Pelton
L. Frances Pelton, 89, Topeka, died Mon., Oct. 10, 2005 at Midland Hospice House. She was born Oct. 1, 1916 in Jackson County the daughter of Christopher M. and Dora A. (Eames) Hickman.
She was a member of Northland Christian Church.
Frances was married to John E. Pelton in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Surviving are daughters: Glenda Nelson and her husband, James, and Janice Bays all of Topeka; a brother: James Hickman of Shelby, OH; grandchildren: Tami Tyler of Manhattan, Kevin and Vicky Nelson of Topeka, Kim and Brian Brueggeman of Topeka, Chris and Melanie Bays of Denver, CO and Aimee and Lance Leggett of Newton; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 13, 2005 at Northland Christian Church. Interment will be in Holton Cemetery.
Mrs. Pelton will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Wed. at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wed.
