Kimiko Sosa, 94, Topeka, KS, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at a local care center.
Kimiko was born October 8, 1922 in Nagoya, Japan.
She married Raymond Sosa. They later divorced.
She was employed as a tailor at Ray Beers for many years, retiring from there.
She was a member of the Central Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include her son, Joseph Sosa, Bremerton, WA; daughter, Maria Okamitsu, Topeka, KS; grandchildren, Miles (Kristen) Miller, Waipahu, HI; Lance Okamitsu, Kansas City, KS; Kyle Sosa, Excelsior Springs, MO; Kayla Sosa, Guadalajara, Mexico; and a great-granddaughter, Khloe Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents in Japan; a son, John G. Sosa in 2002; and a son-in-law, Neil T. Okamitsu in 2008.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
