Kerry Eugene Jackson, 75, of Topeka and formerly of Meriden, died Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX. He was born October 18, 1946 at Del Rio, TX, the son of Willard Vernon and Jessie Mae Sutherland Jackson.
He was a 1965 graduate of Clifton High School, Clifton, KS. He was a U.S. Army and National Guard Veteran and served 38 years as the State Recruiting Sgt Major for the U.S. Army National Guard, retiring in 2004. He was an active member of American Legion Post #225, serving many years on the Honor team. He was also a member of Elks Lodge #1037 in Junction City.
He was married to "Holly" Ann Holton on April 6, 1968 at Huscher, KS, she survives at the home. Other survivors include one son, Jay A. (Michelle) Jackson, De Ridder, LA, one daughter, Tracy L. (Quentin) McDermid, Jordan, MN, one brother, Jesse Jackson, Clay Center and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Willard Vernon Jackson, II.
