OBITUARY: Kerrie Lutz Roberts
Kerrie Lynn Lutz Roberts, 43, Topeka, passed away Thurs., Aug. 16, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital's ER. She was born June 7, 1964, in Topeka, the daughter of Charles L. "Sam" and Ferne A. (Counts) Lutz.
She was a member of the Valley Falls United Methodist Church. Kerrie loved spending time with her children and dog, Precious. She enjoyed being outdoors and working in her garden, which received several awards. Kerrie was a friend to everyone she met.
Kerrie was married to Michael Ross Roberts on June 28, 1982, in Texas. He preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her father, Sam Lutz, and a brother, Dr. Bruce L. Lutz.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Aleah M. Roberts and Lyndsey N. Roberts both of Topeka; her mother: Ferne A. Lutz of Topeka; 2 brothers: Bradley C. Lutz of Pittsburgh, PA and Gregory W. Lutz of Topeka; mother-in-law: Leona K. Roberts of Topeka; step-mother: Lois Lutz of Topeka; sister-in-law: Patricia A. Lutz of Ponca City, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Mon., Aug. 20, 2007, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Interment in Valley Falls Cemetery. Kerrie will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Sunday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday.
