Kenneth James Weston, Jr., 47, Topeka, died Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Midland Hospice House. He was born February 18, 1970, in Topeka, the son of Mary Wilhelmina (Gilliland) and Kenneth James Weston, Sr.

Kenneth was a member of Northland Christian Church. He graduated from Topeka West High School in 1991. For the past 14 years he attended day services at Exploring Life and loved the independence of living in his own apartment at Loving Hearts for the past year. His favorite hobbies were listening to his cassette tapes, playing with his blocks, swimming, bowling, and dancing. He loved to travel and attend the Elmont Opery. Family and church activities were very important to him – he was a people person who never knew a stranger. He lived for holidays and birthdays.

Surviving are his mother: Mary Weston of Topeka; a sister: Kim Zeller (Lester Sipp) of Topeka; a brother: Leland Weston (Jolene) of Topeka; brother-in-law: Tim Zeller; and his nieces and nephews: Rachel Zeller of Bristow, OK, Megan Brohaugh (Alex) of Topeka, Michael Zeller of Topeka, Adam Weston of Topeka, and Aaron Weston of Topeka; three great-nephews; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father: Kenneth James Weston, Sr. on October 8, 2010; and a nephew: Ronald James Zeller on March 24, 1993.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, March 17, 2017, at Northland Christian Church, 3102 NW Topeka Blvd., Topeka. Interment will be in Rochester Cemetery, 1200 NW Menninger Road, Topeka.

Kenneth will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thursday, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
