Kenneth Simpson, 66, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Midland Hospice House.
Ken was born August 14, 1947 in Topeka, the son of Joseph Lee and Helen Maxine (Bills) Simpson. He graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1965.
He was employed as a Maintenance Worker for the State of Kansas retiring in 2010 and previously worked for the Menninger Foundation, Right Way Janitorial and various gas stations.
He was a member of Town & Country Christian Church.
Ken married Patricia Rice on December 19, 1970. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Justin Simpson, Topeka. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Mary Simpson; and sister, Joanna Harris.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Town & Country Christian Church, 4925 SW 29th Street.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kenneth Simpson Memorial Fund, c/o Core First Bank & Trust.
Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
