Kenneth C. Johnston

Kenneth C. Johnston, 69, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on September 20, 2017 peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his wife and children.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am September 25th, 2017 at Davidson Funeral Home. Pastor Brad Walker of Midland Hospice will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 2:00 PM on September 24 at Davidson Funeral. Burial will follow the service at Penwell Gable Cemetery immediate following. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Davidson Funeral Home.

Kenny was born in Atchison, Kansas on November 19, 1947.

Kenny was married to Marion E. Laws (Johnston) on August 14, 1971; they were married 46 years.

Kenny worked as an Auto Body Technician since he was 17 years old at various Body Shops in Topeka. Kenneth enjoyed working in the yard and being outdoors. He was a hunter, he loved to camp and spend time with his family.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Marion E. Johnston, two children Kristy Johnston-Haskins, James Johnston and his wife Angela; his 10 grandchildren Cody, Shelby, Sharla, Briana, Madison, Noah, Carter, Nathan, Emma, and Gwendolyn; his 7 great grandchildren; his brother, John Johnston; his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Leroy Johnston and Marie Opal Hinson-Lane; as well as his brother Robert Johnston, sister, Nellie Slusser, Brother Leroy Johnston, Sister Rita Lane, and his Daughter Tammie Mitchell.
