Kenneth Allen "K.J." Johnson
Kenneth Allen "K.J." Johnson, 67, Topeka, died Saturday December 12, 2015, at his home. He was born May 20, 1948, in Topeka, the son of Eldon Dwayne and Lillie Elaine (Hile) Johnson.
Kenny graduated from Highland Park High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, and Kansas Army National Guard. He liked to play pool and had been a foster grandparent at K.N.I. for five years.
He was married to Joye Gail Anderson on August 19, 2004, in Topeka.
Surviving are his wife: Joye, of the home; children: Shanna Morris (Roger) of Lansing, Sharon Anderson of Topeka, and David Anderson of Topeka; a brother: Raymond Johnson (Pamela) of Topeka; grandchildren: Cortni, Katlyn, Kevin, Joanna, Jeremy, Dereck, Jared, and Jada; and great-grandchildren: McKenzie, Chloee and Bexleigh.
Kenny was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Lindsay and James.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka, Kansas. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Wednesday.
Interment of cremains and military honors will be at a 2:30 pm, Thursday, at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Road. Leavenworth, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kenneth A. Johnson Memorial Fund, sent in care of Envista, 3626 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66614.
