OBITUARY: Keith Lee Comfort

Keith Lee Comfort, 50, Mayetta, died Tues., Sept. 30, 2008, at his home. He was born Jan. 26, 1958, in Topeka, the son of Robert Eugene and Patty Mae (Baldwin) Comfort.

Keith attended school in Michigan, Germany, Florida, and Holton; graduating from Topeka High School and Vo-Tech in 1977. He had been employed by KDOT since 1978. He was married to Terri Lynn Emerson on July 15, 1980, in Topeka. He was an avid deer hunter and loved motorcycling, playing pool, fishing and playing softball. Keith was always willing to work on anyone's car.

Keith is survived by his wife: Terri of the home; daughters: Kriston of the home, Courtney Baker and husband, Shawn, of Holton, Patricia Peterson and husband, Ryan, of Scottsdale, AZ; his mother: Patty of Topeka, other relatives and a host of loving friends. His father died of cancer in 2005.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM, Tues., Oct. 7, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Interment of cremains in Holton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, Mon., at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606-2800.
