K.C. Schrenk

K.C. Schrenk, Jr., 65, of Topeka passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. K.C. was born July 19, 1952 at Topeka the son of Kermit C. Schrenk, Sr. and Virginia Flory Schrenk.   K.C. grew up in the Oakland neighborhood of Topeka. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1970. During high school he worked several jobs including one at a bowling alley. He began work at Capital City Iron Works at the age of 20. He retired in 2010. He was member of the Boilermakers Union.   K.C. was a handy man who could find a way to fix anything.  K.C. was an avid race fan, enjoyed bowling, loved motorcycles and the San Francisco 49er’s.   But most of all he loved his family.   His grandkids were special to him and became even more so after the death by his wife last year.

He married the love of his life Diana Williams August 26, 1978.

He is survived by his son, Clint Schrenk and his wife Phoebe of Topeka; grandchildren, Crimson, Caden, and Cryan; sisters, Cindy Langford and husband Terry of Topeka, Tammy Schrenk of Topeka; brother, Mike Schrenk of Topeka and his father, Kermit C. Schrenk, Sr. of Topeka

K.C. was preceded in death by his wife, Diana in 2016 and his mother, Virginia Schrenk who passed away on K.C.’s birthday in 2005.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, November 10 ^th at Davidson Funeral Home.   Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka.   The family will receive friends from 7-8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Schrenk memorial Fund in care of the Eskridge State Bank; Box 5; Eskridge, Kansas 66423. Memorial funds will be used for the grandchildren’s education fund.
