Katherine M. Boline

Katherine M. Boline, 79, of Topeka, passed away Monday, March 28, 2011 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born March 4, 1932 in Topeka, the daughter of Sterling P. and Fern E. Wilson Taylor. Katherine graduated from Highland Park High School.

She was employed by Westar Energy Company for 27 years before retiring. She was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church, Beulah Chapter No. 34 of OES, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Philip Billard Post No. 1650.

Katherine married Wayne L. Boline, Sr. on July 28, 1950 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on September 10, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Doris M. Ladd. Survivors include her two children, Wayne L. (Delia) Boline, Jr., of Baldwin City and Ronald "Ronnie" (Patty) Boline of Olathe, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and her sister, Ethel M. Lott of Waco, TX.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Katherine will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care Hospice Services, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
