Katherine Marie "Kathy" Crook, 60, of Wakarusa, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at her home.
She was born February 16, 1956, in Elizbethtown, Kentucky, the daughter of Henry and LaVerna (Weinkauf) Lane. She was a graduate of Topeka West High School.
Kathy married Rodger W. Crook on March 15, 1980 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Tanya (David) Scott, Jamie (Curtis) Crook and Jessica (Craig) Molitor all of Topeka; two grandchildren, Wayne and Matthew Molitor; and three siblings, John Lane, Lancaster, PA, Pat Callahan and Mary Price, both of Topeka.
Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
The Crook family would like to thank the St. Francis Cancer Center and Interim Home Care and Hospice for the compassion and care they provided to Kathy and her family.
PLEASE NOTE SERVICE LOCATION CHANGE: A funeral ceremony will be 11 a.m., Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Wakarusa Presbyterian Church, 10135 SW Jordan Rd, Wakarusa, Kansas. Interment will follow at the Shawnee Center Cemetery, Wakarusa, KS.
Kathy will lie in state after 3 p.m., Wednesday at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS, where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m.
