Katelynn Marie Herring, 25, of Topeka passed away on February 15, 2024. She was born November 4, 1998, in Topeka the daughter of Brandy Demler and Jason Herring. Katelynn loved her daughter, Scarlett, with all her heart and was an amazing mother to her. She had a pure heart of gold; so much that she cried watching the movie "Rugrats in Paris" when Chucky's mom passed away. Katelynn was very artistic and loved music. She attended Topeka High School and was a member of the Topeka High School Chorus Madrigals.
Prior to an accident which disabled her; Katelynn was always smiling, very independent, outgoing, and full of life. She loved to spend time with her siblings, cousins, and friends. She had worked at Lupita's Mexican Restaurant as a waitress. She was a member of Victory City Church, where she gave her life to the Lord. Her favorite past times were singing, playing the guitar, writing poems and drawing. Her favorite food was chicken enchilada soup.
She is survived by her first and only love, Luis Munoz; their daughter, Scarlett Rose Munoz; mother, Brandy Demler; siblings Julia Mendez and Robert Mendez; maternal grandmother, Darlinda Monzalvo; paternal grandmother, Catherine Herring; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and one nephew.
