OBITUARY: Karen Sue Sage
Karen Sue Sage, 70, Topeka, died Sun., May 22, 2011, at Stormont-Vail Hosp. She was born Nov. 14, 1940, in Topeka, the daughter of Tony and Dorothy (Keyes) Suidikas. She attended Topeka High School. Karen married Wayne N. Sage on Oct. 22, 1958, at Lyndon. He survives. Also surviving are a daughter: Brenda K. Avery (Don) of Manhattan; 3 sons: Ricky Sage of Wichita, Brian W. Sage (Diana) of Chandler, AZ, and Robert R. Sage of Topeka; 2 sisters: Georgia Keith (Pat) of Clarkston, WA, and Cindy Covey (Bill) of El Paso, TX; 5 brothers: Gary Suidikas (Sue) of Westminster, MD, Wayne Suidikas (Bea) of Dallas, TX, Dale Suidikas (Ritalynn) of Lubbock, TX, Gene Suidikas (Barbara) of Fairfax, VA, and Glenn Suidikas of New Mexico; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Thurs., May 26, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka. Interment in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Karen will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Wed., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
