Karen S. Cooper, age 57, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at her home in Topeka. Karen was born April 17, 1965 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania the daughter of Michael DeBernardin and Sharon (Manis) McHargue. Karen graduated from Highland Park High School. She worked at Dillon’s grocery store in Topeka.
Karen is survived by two daughters, Haylie (Max) Morrison and Sidney Koch, both of Chicago; a brother, Michael A. DeBernardin of Topeka; two sisters, Sheryl (Steve) Speier of Topeka; Donna Worthley of Oceola, MO; her boyfriend, Carl Dodge of Topeka; two grandchildren and several nephews. Karen was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and was in the band during high school.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the services. Inurnment will be at the Topeka Cemetery at a later date.
