Justin Howard Blenden, 38, Topeka, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014.
He was born October 13, 1976 in Topeka, the son of Samuel E. Blenden, Sr. and Beverly Matherly. He attended Topeka West High School.
Justin was a salesman with UniFirst.
Justin was a wonderful father and spending time with his family was his greatest joy.
Justin married Billie J. Strauss on February 24, 2001 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Cade, Kyler and Elliott; parents, Samuel E. and Charlotte Provo-Blenden and Beverly and Ron Matherly; parents-in-law, Dennis and Jay Patterson; siblings, Bryan (Tanya) Blenden, Geoff (Gina) Blenden, Mark (Krista) Provo, Marty Provo and Tina (Bill) Gannaway; sister-in-law, Christie Blenden and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel E. Blenden, Jr, in 2009.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. Interment will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Justin will lie in state after 3 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.
