Jupita Apoya Fajardo, 63, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024.

She was born November 12, 1960, in Davao City, Philippines the daughter of Juan and Petronia (Catipay) Apoya.

Jupita came to the United States in the early 90s, gaining her citizenship in 1996.

She loved being outside in her flower bed and in her garden.

Jupita had a passion for singing. She loved doing karaoke. Pop and classic rock were some of her favorites to sing.

She was an amazing cook. She could make a really good chicken adobo and pancit.

Jupita worked at several places throughout Topeka. From Presbyterian Manor, to Payless for 11 years. She later worked for Reser’s and Frito Lay.

Jupita married Kevin Duane Fajardo on November 12, 2000 in Topeka, Kansas.

Survivors include her husband Kevin; son, Elvin Fajardo; siblings, Venerando Apoya, Vicente Apoya, and Andrescenia Villahermosa and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Petronia and her siblings, Narcisa Arriesgado, Glicerio Apoya, Zita Delgado, Pompia Apoya, Enriqueta Varquez, and Felipe Apoya.

The family will greet friends at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St., Topeka. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Hope Chapel. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
