Judith A. (Lee) Strawn, 84, of Topeka, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023.
She was born September 11, 1939, in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Clifford and Florence (Mckinley) Lee.
She attended school in Ottawa Kansas and graduated as the valedictorian of her class from Ottawa High School in 1957.
After High School, Judy attended and graduated from Clark Business School in Topeka. After graduation, she was employed by the Menninger Foundation and worked there until her retirement in 2002.
Judy married Dennis Strawn on November 4th 1962 in Ottawa, Kansas.
She was a loving wife and wonderful mother who was always there for her family. She was a member of the Northland Christian Church, had many friends, and was a loved member of the community. Her greatest passion was her love for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed attending plays, concerts, school activities, and sporting events her children and grandchildren participated in.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Dennis of Topeka, Kansas; son Dennis L (Mary Lanxon) Strawn of Omaha, Nebraska, son David (Apryl) Strawn of Wellsville, Kansas, and daughter Debra (Scott) Cobler of Meriden, Kansas; grandchildren, Kayla (Ben) Stutzman of Topeka, Kansas, Rebekah (Joe) Olberding of Topeka, Kansas, Joshua (Melissa) Cobler of Carbondale, Kansas, Hannah Cobler, of Topeka, Kansas, Joel (Ella) Cobler of Topeka, Kansas, Lydia Cobler of Topeka, Kansas, Elizabeth (Quintin) Thero of Lawrence, Kansas, Emily Strawn of Kansas City, Missouri, Zachery Strawn of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Ethan (Autumn Ewert) Strawn of Manhattan, Kansas; eight great-grandchildren and her sister, Carolyn Roy of Centropolis, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Florence Lee of Ottawa, Kansas.
Family will greet friends during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Parker-Price 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, KS 66608.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Parker-Price Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Judy's service will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.
