Judy Ann Miller - Steele

Judy Ann Miller-Steele, age 74, of Topeka, passed peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family on February 6, 2021.  She was lifelong Topeka resident.  She was born July 27, 1946 in Topeka the daughter of Robert and Elzora (Shelton) Miller.  She graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1964.  She attended beauty school which led to a successful hairdressing career.  She owned and operated her own salon.  She and her husband Terry Steele worked at the Topeka Capital Journal, where they both were carriers.  Judy had many hobbies, including sewing, crocheting, baking cakes and watching football.  She loved the outdoors, fishing and camping.  She often shared her love for fishing with her grandsons.  Judy was very proud of her family and deeply devoted to her faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry and young daughter, Brandi.  She is survived by daughters, Bobbi Jo (Doug) Prier of Sugar Creek, MO, Angel Steele of Topeka, Terry Shannon of Topeka, Judy Ann Steele of Topeka; a son, Jody Miller of Phoenix, AZ; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her beloved Chihuahua, “Baby Girl”.  She will be greatly missed by all.
