Judith Rae Nudson, 84, of Topeka, passed away on March 24, 2023 at Stormont Vail in Topeka.
She was born on July 3, 1938 to Raymond and Esther (Wardlow) McKinney in Topeka, Kansas.
She worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as one of the first female employees for 9 years. She then utilized her artistic abilities and became a Stained Glass Artist. Some you can still see around Topeka.
She married Gerald E. Nudson and lived in Topeka, KS until he passed in 2010. Judy had 8 children, four of them preceded her death.
She was a member of Kansas Prairie Backers Hiking Group in her younger years. She also volunteered in Colorado for 17 years, clearing trails and spending time in the outdoors. She was extremely crafty, indulging in cross stitch and her talent in stained glass, restoring historic buildings around Topeka. She loved animals and particularly took to rescuing cats. Judy was the matriarch for her family and a proud liberal. Where some parents lacked, she made up tenfold, being the rock and support to her grandchildren. Judy loved her KU Jayhawks, her love for KU basketball was unmatched as evidenced by her Jayhawk basketball tattoo. In her younger days she loved a ride on her motorcycle.
Judith is survived by her children, Donna Fultz, Virgil Fultz, Teri Fultz, and Neil Fultz; 13 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Nudson; children, Nancy Fultz, Craig Fultz, Barbara Fultz and Evan Fultz; siblings, Patrick McKinney and Peggy Campbell; and both of her parents
Celebration of Judy's life will be on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 4:00p.m to 6:00p.m at Parker Price Reception Center located at 1940 NW Central Ave, Topeka, KS 66608
