Judith Pence, age 73 passed away on Tuesday February 26th at her home (peacefully with her husband) in Topeka following complications with chemotherapy. Judy was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2023.
Judy was raised in Topeka and attended Highland Park High School where she was a member of the Bonnie Lassie Drill Team. After high school Judy attended Washburn University receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and graduating summa cum laude. Judy worked at St. Francis Cancer Center as a billing coordinator for 20 years. During her retirement she has been enjoying painting, quilting, vacationing and time with family and friends. Judy will always be remembered for her love for animals and homemade gifts.
Judy married Gary Pence in Topeka on April 16th, 1988. He survives in the home. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Harland and Olive Bram and her brother Bob Bram. She is also survived by her stepson Bryan Pence, her stepdaughter Amy Douglas (Harley) and her grandchildren Britnee (Atticus), Ashley (Drew), Caylee, Dreyson and Finn.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Parker-Price & Davidson Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608). Dress is casual.
