Judeanna D. Simnitt, 77, of Topeka, passed away September 4, 2020.
She was born on January 27, 1943 in Odell, Nebraska, the daughter of Arlo and Dorothea Kile. She attended and graduated from Barnes Rural High School. Following high school Judeanna attended Salina Beautician School, after graduating she returned home to Barnes, Kansas, working at a salon with her mother.
On June 10, 1962, Judeanna married Norman Simnitt at the Christian Church in Barnes, Kansas.
Judeanna worked as an Assistant to the Secretary of the Kansas State Senate until her retirement.
Judeanna was a member of Northland Christian Church for 51 years and was a very active member of Sarah Circle.
Judeanna enjoyed gardening, traveling with Norman in their RV and visiting the National Parks, going hiking, snow and water skiing. She volunteered for MOPS and served meals at the Topeka rescue Mission and the TNO VIP Club.
Judeanna is survived by her loving husband, Norman; son, Kent (Lisa) Simnitt; daughter, Dana (Brady) Rogers; son, Brett (Heather) Simnitt; grandsons, Connor Simnitt, Micah Rogers and Jonah Rogers; granddaughters, Hannah Simnitt, Kate Simnitt, Haven Simnitt, and Anna Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlo and Dorothea Kile; and grandson, Kenton Simnitt.
A tented outdoor memorial service will be held at the home of Brett and Heather, 1135 NW 52nd Terrace in Topeka, on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 11:00AM, with a fellowship luncheon to follow.
