Juanita Fay "Pat" Emerson
Juanita Fay "Pat" Emerson, 84, Topeka, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, in Topeka. She was born March 23, 1919, in Pueblo, Colo., the daughter of Saban Earl and Alta Varner Patty. Pat graduated from Benedict High School. She served in the nursing field in Chanute and Topeka for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence E. Stipp Sr. and John R. Emerson. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy K. Anderson and Kenney, Mascoutah, Ill.; two sons, Richard L. Stipp and June, Shawnee, and Clarence E. Stipp Jr., Mansfield, Ohio; two brothers, Richard Patty and Helen, Medway, Maine, and Robert Patty; a sister, Anita Patty, Norborne, Mo.; three stepdaughters, Brenda Miere, Linda Johnson and Virginia Montgomery; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell Gabel Parker-Price Chapel. Burial will be private. Mrs. Emerson will lie in state after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parker-Price Mortuary, where family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 p.m. prior to services
