Joshua Uriah Crane Walters, 48, of Topeka, passed away on August 27, 2021 at the Topeka Veterans Affairs Medical Hospital.
Josh was born on March 3, 1973 to Glenn and Mary "Betsi" (Stroup) Walters in Fankfort, Indiana.
Josh was an Infantryman for the United States Army, where he served for over 13 years. He honorably and proudly served in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge.
On August 18, 2012, Josh married Melanie Walters (Boaz). It was their beautiful second chance for happiness. They were blessed to have two children.
Josh was an avid motorcycle enthusiast with many close friends in the biker community. He was a dedicated stay at home father and was proud of his young sons. Josh had such an outpouring of love for his family and would do anything for them. He was a member of Mission Church in Topeka. His faith was a driving force in his life and made him who he was.
Josh is survived by his loving Wife, Melanie, Sons, Lucian Glenn Walters and Draven Gary Walters; Daughter, Izzy Raskie; Brother, Tory (Sue) Silence; Sisters, Paula (Daron) Shuler and Serenity Walters; Father In Law, Gary Boaz Sr., Mother In Law, Carole Boaz, Sisters In Law, Megan (John) Hayes and Alison (Aaron) Becker, Brother In Law, Gary (Mallory Senne) Boaz Jr., and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his Brother, Dane "Skipper" Silence.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021, 3:00 pm at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Topeka, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021, 10:00 am at the Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Topeka, Kansas.
Graveside Service with full military honors will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
