Joseph "Joe" Wolfe, 76, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012.
He was born January 24, 1936 in Topeka, KS, the son of Joseph "Verne" and Merlie (Abbott) Wolfe. He was a 1955 graduate of Topeka High School.
Joe owned and operated Wolfe's Printing for a number of years, following which he worked for the State of Kansas and retired from the State Printing Plant in 2001.
He was a member of Or
ient Lodge #51 A.F.&A.M., American Legion Post No. 400 and Moose Lodge #555 in Topeka, KS.
Joe married Joan White on January 27, 1957 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Michael Wolfe and his wife, Bonnie, Topeka and David Wolfe, Kansas City, KS; four grandsons, Andrew, Jason, Kevin and Christopher; four great-grandchildren, a God-granddaughter, Alexzandria Wyatt; a brother, Robert Wolfe, Broomfield, CO; and a sister, Diana Siegel, DeLand, FL. He was preceded in death by a half-sister, Delores Kaiser.
A funeral ceremony with Masonic Services will be 1 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Private interment will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care Hospice of Kansas, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
