Joseph Allen Martin

Joseph "Joey" Allen Martin, 34, of Topeka, passed away on September 18, 2023 at his home.

He was born on January 26, 1989 to Joseph and Dana (Gabler) Martin in Topeka, Kansas.

Joey worked as a Quality Inspector for Mars.

Joey loved spending time with his family, friends, and dogs Shai and Khonsu. Joey enjoyed Marvel and DC comic books and movies, as well as video games such as Fortnite, Mortal Combat, and Tekken. Music by artists such as Tech N9ne, Nipsy Hustle, and Kevin Gates kept Joey connected to his friends and soothed his soul at the end of a long day. Joey enjoyed watching MMA/UFC fights, Chiefs football, and Duke Blue Devils basketball. Camping, kayaking, and the outdoors were just a few things he enjoyed and loved doing with friends and family. Joey loved to make those who knew him laugh and valued quality time, so much so many friends can attest to Joey asking for adult sleepovers on a consistent basis.

Joey is survived by his parents, mother, Dana Meinhardt (Steve); father, Joseph Martin (Pauline); children, Ashton Johnson, Jaxson Martin, William Martin; sister, Ashley Brunell (Isaac, Abigail, Oliver); partner, Kelsi Flowers (Lakyn and Cainen Thompson); Grandparents, Robert (Marita) Gabler, Janice Baker and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Robert and Reva McFatridge, James and Virginia Martin

Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, 10:30 am at the Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Topeka, Kansas.
