OBITUARY: Joseph "Dale" Fox
Joseph Dale Fox, 73, Hoyt, was called home Sun., May 30, 2010 at his home. He was born March 6, 1937 at New Bloomfield, MO, the son of Harry L. and Martha E. (Howerton) Fox. Dale was retired from the U.S. Postal Area Supply Center. He had served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. He was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church; Hoyt Lodge # 327, AF & AM; Hoyt Chapter # 189, OES; Topeka Scottish Rite Bodies; and Arab Shrine Temple; and an honorary member of Arab Temple Ritualistic Cast. Dale was married to Kathleen I. Megaughey on March 28, 1958, in Independence, MO. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter: Kathie Pelan (Michael) of De Soto; 2 sons: Brett Fox (Diane) of Topeka and Kirk Fox of Denver, CO; a sister: Margaret Birmingham of Mission, TX; and 6 grandchildren. Dale was preceded in death by a son, Troy. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM, Sat., June 5, 2010, at St. Peter's United Methodist Church followed by Masonic Services by Hoyt Lodge # 327, AF & AM. A celebration will follow the memorial services. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's United Methodist Church, 3737 NW 35th Street, Topeka, KS 66618-2642 or Royal Valley School Library, Hoyt, KS 66440.
