Joseph A. Davidson
Joseph A. Davidson, 77, of Topeka, passed away Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at his home.
Joe was born Oct. 15, 1933 in Horton, KS, the son of James and Dorothy (Mink) Davidson. He graduated from Wetmore High School in 1951. He worked 39 years for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, retiring on June 1, 1993.
He married JoAnna R. Mack on May 7, 1953 in Holton, KS. Survivors include his wife of 57 years; daughter, Anna Enneking of Ozawkie and a sister, Anna M. Meier of Waverly, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Susan Dianne Davidson who died of cancer on Feb. 11, 2011 and a sister, Ruth Ann Davidson.
Mr. Davidson will lie in state from 3-8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011 Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Private interment will be at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care Hospice of Kansas, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
