Jon William Hybskmann

Memorial services will be announced later by Davidson Funeral Home, Topeka, Kansas for Jon William “Bill” Hybskmann, 69, Topeka. He died in a Topeka hospital August 30, 2018, following injuries sustained in an accident.

Jon was born November 24, 1948, in Horton, Kansas to Glenn and Sara Elizabeth Harold Hybskmann. He graduated from Horton High School where he was on the football team.   He graduated from Washburn University of Topeka where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Social fraternity.

Jon was a Freemason in the Grand Lodge of Kansas .   He worked in various capacities, including correctional work in Oklahoma and Kansas.   He also loved cooking and worked for some years as a cook for a Topeka rehabilitation hospital. He was known by friends as someone who was always willing to help them.

Jon is survived by daughter Abbie Thompson, Drumwright, Oklahoma; son, Clifford (Tammy) Hybskmann, Leavenworth, Kansas; grandchildren, Jessica Thompson, Drumwright, OK; Kyle Thompson, Drumwright, OK; Samantha Hybskmann, Topeka; Matthew Hybskmann, Leavenworth, and four great-grandchildren. A sister, Sara (Craig) Chappell, Lawrence, KS, also survives.

Memorial services for "Bill" will be held on Saturday morning, November 24th at 11:00 am at Davidson Funeral Home.
