John William Briscoe, 73, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Midland Hospice House.
John was born July 30, 1944, in Russellville, AK. He worked over 30 years as a civil engineer for the Federal Forest Department and the Indian Bureau. John was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church family. He enjoyed catfishing with friends and all sports.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sara J. Briscoe; two daughters, Janiece Michelle Fowler and Lana Franciene Briscoe-Lucus; four step-children; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Linda Matthews.
A celebration of life for John will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Bethel Baptist Church, 4011 N Kansas Ave, Topeka, KS 66617. The family will greet friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church for Barnabas Missions.
