Jo'Heem Maliq Meredith

Jo’Heem M. Meredith, age 18, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at a Topeka hospital.  Jo’Heem was born November 13, 2001 in Oakland, California the son of Andre and LaVonne (Livingston) Meredith, Sr.  He recently graduated from Topeka West High School.  He was on the basketball team there and was homecoming king.  Jo’Heem was working at the American Eagle Distribution Center in Ottawa.  He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Charles Meredith and Danice Baker and his maternal grandfather, Michael Walker, Sr.  He is survived by his parents, Andre and LaVonne Meredith; maternal grandparents, Kathellen Brown and Warner Livingston; his girlfriend, Yadira Garcia; two brothers, Andre Meredith, Jr. of Topeka, Jorden Meredith of Topeka; and three sisters, Brittany Stephens of Buckeye, Arizona, Jasmine Mesner of Oklahoma and Geneva Meredith of Topeka.

Jo’Heem will lie in state for the public Friday, May 22, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be private for the family.  Memorial contributions may be made to Jo’Heem’s GoFundMe page.
