JoAnn Shotts, 64, Topeka, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital after a long battle with Lupus. She was born October 4, 1946 in Topeka, KS the daughter of John and Mary G. "Jackie" (Silversmith) North.

JoAnn was preceded in death by two brothers John Junior "Buster" North and Dale L. North. Other surviving siblings are a sister Betty Housholder, Tecumseh, three brothers Robert "RB" North, Topeka, Tommy L. North, Topeka and Billy North, Tennessee. She has three children all in Topeka, Mindy (Jim) Tilley, Lou Ann (Dale) Hughes and Ronnie (Crystale) Shotts. She loved and enjoyed her five grandchildren J.D. Tilley, Katie Hughes, Casey Hughes, Jennifer Tilley and Shaun Frost.

JoAnn has been cremated. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 9 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside inurnment will be on Wednesday, August 10 at the Topeka Cemetery Garden Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2000 L Street NW, Ste 410, Washington, DC 20036.
