Jim Kelly

James “Jim” Anthony Kelly, Jr., 74, of Topeka passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.   He was born July 18, 1947, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri the son of James A. Kelly, Sr. and Betty Shannon Kelly.   Jim grew up in the Colorado Springs, CO area, graduated Widefield High School in 1966 in Security, CO.  Jim served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War era.  He retired as a heavy equipment mechanic at the Van Keppel Company of Topeka and was an avid football fan.

Jim is survived by sons, Cory Kelly and wife Alisha of Ozawkie, KS, and Tobey Kelly of Emporia, KS; stepson Frank Downey of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter Wendy Kelly of Topeka, KS; stepdaughter Ann Toni Henderson of St. Petersburg, FL; brother Mark Kelly of Colorado Springs, CO; sisters Teresa Kelly of Colorado Springs, CO, and Shirley Keeling of Asbury, MO; and several grandchildren, including Tyler and Raelyn Kelly of Ozawkie, KS.

Cremation is planned.   Davidson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
