Jewell "Kent" Robinson, 63, of Topeka, passed away Monday, February 14, 2011.
He was born October 26, 1947 in St. Joseph, MO, the son of Clovis and Betty Lou (Karriker) Robinson. He was a graduate of Osborn High School, Osborn, MO and received a Bachelor's in Education at Missouri Western in 1973.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
His sales career included Ed Bozarth Chevrolet, Performance Tire, both of Topeka. He retired from Frito Lay, Topeka in 2009.
He was a member of Northern Hills Baptist Church.
Kent married Sue Gail Hoggatt on June 17, 1967 in Cameron, MO. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Scott (Julie) Robinson, Perry, KS, Courtney (Steve) Yeoman, Topeka; six grandchildren, Jessica (John) Ekey, Chris, A.J., Rhiannon Robinson, Kennedy and Elliot Yeoman; a brother, Craig (Janice) Robinson, Platte City, MO and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Gerald Howery, and a grandson, Alex Robinson.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011at Northern Hills Baptist Church, 920 NW 62nd, Topeka, KS 66618. Interment will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka. Mr. Robinson will lie in state after 3 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608 where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Northern Hills Baptist Church or to Midland Care Hospice of Kansas, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
