Jerri Lynn Engert

Jerri L. Engert, age 60 passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. Jerri was born May 10, 1959 in Topeka, the daughter of Billy Bob, Sr. and Glenda (Metzger) Brumley.  Jerri attended Topeka High School.  She married Leo Engert, Jr. in August of 1976.  She worked as a manager of the Dollar Tree.  She was preceded in death by a son, James Engert in 1996, and a brother, Mychael Vance.  She is survived by her husband, Leo Engert, Jr. of Topeka; a son, Leo G. Engert, III of Topeka; a daughter, Heather (Frank) Wright of Topeka; two brothers, Ronnie Creech, Jr. and Billy Bob Brumley, Jr., both of Topeka; sisters, Julie (Steve) Ray, Jennifer Josling and Jeannette Henry, all of Topeka; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  She will lie in state Friday from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Interment will be at the Topeka Cemetery.  Donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation and sent in care of the funeral home. davidsonfuneral.com.
