Jerome H. Gleason

Jerome H. Gleason, age 83, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Stormont Vail Hospital.  Jerome was born September 19, 1936 in Rulo, Nebraska the son of Frank and Inza (Shannon) Gleason.  He graduated from Lawrence High School.  He then entered the service and served 4 years with the U.S. Air Force.   He married Shirley Ann Hanson. They were married for over 47 years before she passed in 2010.  Jerome worked as a police officer at Tonganoxie and Eudora for over 32 years.  He was also a master mechanic and enjoyed working on all cars.  While living in California, he operated a care facility.  He also owned and operated North America Van Lines Moving Company.   He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren.  He is survived by two sons, Robert and David (Amanda) Gleason of Topeka and three grandchildren.
