Jennifer Marie Rector

Jennifer Marie Rector, 30, left the loving arms of her family into the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at her Topeka, KS home, after battling lifelong effects of childhood brain cancer. She was born November 9, 1987, in Topeka, KS, the daughter of William Jay and Joleen Marie (Thomas) Rector.

Jennifer completed her education at Perry-Lecompton High School in 2006.

Jennifer lit up the lives of those around her through her gentleness, positivity and love of life.

Surviving are her parents: William (Jay) and Joleen Rector of Topeka, KS; brothers: Stephen Rector of Lawrence, KS, Dakota Rector, Zane Rector of Topeka, KS; Grandparents: Larry and Betty (Daugherty) Davin of Topeka, KS, Diane (Jacobson) Thomas of Topeka, KS; Great-grandmother: Donna (Kennedy) Kelly of Colorado Spring, CO; uncles and aunts: Jody Thomas of Shawnee, KS, Roger Davin (Wanda) of Fort Worth, TX, Tom Davin (Robin) of Kansas City, KS, Pam Kirkwood (George) of Leawood, KS, Gayle Hutsell (Jeff) of Louisburg, KS; many cousins, great-uncles and great-aunts.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents: Edward Thomas and William & Phyllis Rector and Great-grandparents Lawrence James and Donna Daugherty of Topeka, KS, Verle Kelly of Colorado Springs, CO.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Parker-Price Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka, KS. Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery, 5320 NW 35th St, Topeka, KS. A reception will be held at the Parker-Price Reception Center immediately following the burial. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
