OBITUARY: Mrs. Jennie Frances Hoffer
Mrs. Jennie Frances Hoffer, 93, Topeka, died Tues., April 18, 2006, at Westwood Manor. She was born Oct. 9, 1912 at Osawatomie the daughter of Friend R. and Frances J. (Taylor) Mann.
Before retiring she was a food service supervisor in the Seaman School District. Jennie was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church; Beulah Chapter # 34, O.E.S.; and Kansas School Food Service Assoc.
She was married to Richard Bruce Hoffer on March 28, 1936 at Topeka. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1976.
Surviving are a daughter: Sandy Robbins of Topeka; 2 sons: Russell Hoffer of Lecompton, and Bob Hoffer of Americus; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Fri., April 21, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will be in Topeka Cemetery. Jennie will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Thurs. at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
