Jean Lorraine Wilcox, 84, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2009.
She was born November 25, 1924 in Altoona, PA, the daughter of Ervin Everett Linge and Nellie Marie (Flanders) Linge. She was a 1942 graduate of Topeka High School.
Jean was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Topeka. She was active in Stormont-Vail Hospital Auxiliary, D.A.R., Descendents of the Mayflower, and the Colonial Dames. She was an officer of Wilcox Trailer Sales and served on the board of Topeka Cemetery.
Jean married Max Wilcox on February 6, 1943 in San Diego, CA. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2008. Survivors include her children, Diana K. Christman (Don), Topeka; Robert E. Wilcox (Marcia), Shawnee Mission, KS and Sandra L. Chapman (Ron Marshall), Emigrant, MT; her grandchildren, Cathy DiLeo (Todd) and Steve Christman (Amy) and 3 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Wilcox was cremated. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence.
