Jaunita L. "Pete" McGrew Adams, 69, of Topeka, passed away peacefully at her home September 13, 2005. Jaunita was born February 26, 1936 in Topeka, KS, to George and Edith Thomas McGrew.
Jaunita was a homemaker and lifelong Topeka resident.
She was married to Alfred W. Adams, February 23, 1952 in Topeka. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister Betty Coberly.
Jaunita is survived by a daughter, Sharon "Kathy" Adams and her children Ky Zirkle and companion Mary Cottrell and children, Ty, Micheal and Danielle, Chris Zirkle and his daughter, Kelsey, John Zirkle and his wife Jaime and children Skyler and Brayden, and Justin Zirkle all of Topeka; Jolene and Chuck Lowe and their children, Sydney and Abigail, of Hiawatha; Her sons Steven and wife Cathy Ann Adams, Eric and wife Kim Adams, their children, Andrea Adams, and Nathan and his wife Miranda Adams, her son Jesse and his wife Jennifer Adams, and their children Megan Louise, Dakota, and Megan Jo, all of Topeka; Jesse is serving in the Army National Guard. Jaunita is also survived by a brother, George "Bud" McGrew, and his wife Roberta of Garden City, KS; and a sister, Helen Garner and her husband Carl of Topeka; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service and interment will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 17, 2005 at Rossville Cemetery.
Jaunita will lie in state after 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
