Janie Marie Sheley

Janie Marie Sheley (Fidler),60, of Winchester, KS passed away at Midland Hospice House on Monday, January 9 ^th , 2023. She was born to Ralph Francis Fidler Sr. & Darlene Lorraine Fidler (Brooks) on March 14 ^th , 1962, in Lawrence Kansas.  Janie was the second oldest of six children. She attended Perry-Lecompton High School. She married her husband of 18 years, John Marion Sheley, in 1990.

Janie was a lifelong member of Winchester Christian Church. She enjoyed cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and watching KU basketball. She will be remembered for her love of fishing, camping, hiking, traveling to Pike’s Peak, and going to zoo’s. She also enjoyed organizing kickball games and loved watching fireworks. Janie was very involved with the holidays with her family, especially 4 ^th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Predeceasing Janie is death is her father; Brother, Ralph Francis Fidler Jr.; and Husband, John Marion Sheley. She is survived by common law Husband Richard Lentz, and five children, Shannon Fidler and granddaughter Jordan Filder; John Curtis Sheley; Joseph Allen Sheley (April) and granddaughter Charleigh; Cindy (Sean) Sheley and two grandsons, Braydon & Sean; and Daniel Wayne Sheley.  Also surviving Janie are four sisters, Arlene Copeland of Grantville, KS; Jackie Fidler of Winchester, KS; Mardi Fidler, of Topeka, KS; and Cyrstal Mapes, of Newton, KS. Her mother, Darlene also survives.
