OBITUARY: Janie Peck
Janie Peck, 55, Topeka, died Thurs., July 6, 2006, at St. Francis Hosp. She was born Aug. 12, 1950, at St. Marys the daughter of Eugene and Doris Reding. She spent her early years at St. Marys. Janie attended Rossville Grade School, Assumption Grade School, and Hayden High School with the class of 1968. She was a housewife.
She was married to Henry Roberts in 1968. They divorced. She was married to Harold "Bud" Peck in 1991.
Surviving are her husband, Bud, of the home; 2 sons: Henry "Cooper" Roberts and wife, Dawn, and children, Jake and Josi of Auburn, Grady Kirkpatrick and wife, Cindy, and children, Ashley and Alex of Rulo, NE; and a brother, Larry Reding, of San Diego, CA. She was preceded in death by a beloved nephew, Derek Reding, in 1998.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m., Tues., July 11, 2006, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will follow in Rochester Cemetery. Janie will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Mon. at the funeral chapel where a rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
