Jane H. (Settle) Dillon, 72, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family and friends.
Jane was born July 4, 1945, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Myron C. and Betty Jane (Curry) Settle, Jr. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1963 and attended Washburn University from 1963 to 1965.
She was employed at Meade Insurance Co in 1964 and Fleming Companies in 1971. From 1977 to 2003, Jane and her husband owned and operated Dillon's Custom Kitchens of Topeka, KS retiring in 2008. During retirement, Jane worked part-time for ETA Financial Services. When she wasn't working part-time, she and her husband spent a lot of time camping throughout the Midwest.
Jane married her high school sweetheart, Willis J. "Bill" Dillon, on June 26, 1965, in Topeka, KS.
She is survived her husband; son, Randy J. (Amy) Dillon of Lenexa, KS; daughter, Rhonda L. (R. Dave) Lanier of Derby, KS; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents and brother, David R. Settle.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018, at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Prairie Home Cemetery.
