Janda V. Campbell, age 68, of Topeka passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Plaza West Care Home.  Janda was born November 4, 1952 in Columbia, South Carolina the daughter of Charles and Bernita (Skelton) Preston.  Janda’s parents were missionaries in West Papua, Indonesia and she graduated from Faith Academy High School in the Philippines.  She attended Calvary Bible College.  She graduated with a bachelors degree in nursing from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Kansas City.  She married Daniel Campbell June 10, 1978. They later divorced.   Janda was a long time member of the Topeka Bible Church.  She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Preston.  She is survived by her mother, Bernita Preston of Topeka; a son, Shem Campbell of Dallas, TX; a daughter, Martha (Andy) Hawkins of Andover, KS; three brothers, Craig Preston of Texas, Brent Preston of Spain and Curt Preston of Michigan; two sisters, Candy Preston of Topeka and Tosha Godbold of Sarasota, Florida and three grandchildren, Calvin, Eli and Kathryn.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 28, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  She will lie in state Monday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.  Graveside services will be at 1:45 p.m. at the West Lawn Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Bible Church and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
