James Harry Lee Rubottom, 68, Topeka, died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at his home. He was born Dec. 5, 1935, in Sarcoxie, Mo., the son of Darwin E. Rubottom Sr. and Anna M. Cromer Rubottom. James will lie in state from 3 to 8:30 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Housh Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Mo. Burial will follow in Sarcoxie Cemetery. A memorial service will be next week at the All Faiths Chapel at Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 1033 S.W. Gage Blvd., Topeka, 66604.
