James "Pee Wee" Reece

James "Pee Wee" Reece, age 65, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.  James was born January 10, 1956 in Missouri, the son of Jim and Shirley Reece.  James served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee.  He married Deborah Schreiner.  She preceded him in death September 29, 2021.  James and Deborah delivered newspapers for over 15 years for the Topeka Capital Journal.  James had also worked as a construction handyman.   James and Debra attended the Grace Community Church in Overbrook.

James was preceded in death by a daughter, Janey Forrest; two sisters, Sheila Skinner and Kim Reece, and a brother, Jerry Reece.  He is survived by his mother, Shirley Reece; two sons, Michael Schreiner and Frank Forrest; a daughter, Krystle Schreiner; two brothers, Oreland Reece and John Reece; and grandchildren, Gabriel Forrest, Hunter Shannon, Nathan Shannon, Mathew Vanderputten, Rylan Schreiner, Henry Schreiner, Ezrah Schreiner, Kaitlyn Schreiner, Gracie Schreiner and Adley Schreiner.

Memorial services for James and Deborah will be Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
