OBITUARY: Jacquelyn L. "Jackie" Brandenburg
Jacquelyn Lavonna "Jackie" Brandenburg, 59, Topeka, died Wed., Aug. 13, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital. She was born Oct. 29, 1948, in Topeka, the daughter of Arthur C. and Marjorie M. (Disney) Martin.
Jackie graduated from Topeka High School. She was a honorary member of the Society of the Fifth Division.
She was married to Stephen Ray "Rusty" Brandenburg on Aug. 4, 1967, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 2007.
Surviving are 2 sons: Stephen "Matt" Brandenburg of Topeka and Eric (Mary Kai) Brandenburg of Coffeyville; 2 grandchildren: Alexander and Grayson; 3 sisters: Lois Gibbs, Sandra (Regis, Jr.) Campbell, and Karin (Ed) Fennell; 5 brothers: Michael Martin, Patrick (Theresa) Martin, Douglas (Darlene) Martin, Perry (Regina) Martin; and Earl Martin.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Sat., Aug. 16, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Interment in Rochester Cemetery. Jackie will lie in state after 3:00 PM. Fri., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Society of the Fifth Division, 12 Rossie Street, Mystic, CT 06355.
