Jaqualin Geasland was born August 04, 1928 in Judsonia, AR, the daughter of A.J. Adair and Dixie Sterling. She was valedictorian of her class of 1946 in Holdenville Oklahoma. After high school, she worked for seven years as the County Superintendent of Schools in Holdenville, Oklahoma. As a single mom, she worked as a secretary for the KSEK Radio Station and at the Helio Aircraft Corporation in Pittsburg, KS. Once she had remarried, she was able to stay home and raise the kids in her new blended family. When the kids were older she worked part time teaching at the Vo-Tech, "Office Procedures and Business Machines". She also taught crocheting and other skills to the wives of foreign students at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. She was a Sunday School teacher for decades and very frequently helped her husband Deacon Floyd care for members of the church.
Serving was so much a part of heart that it showed up in everything she did. She was extremely skilled at many hobbies and often used these to help others. She sewed most of her own clothes and all of her kids clothes for as long as they would let her. She poured and glazed thousands of Ceramic figurines. Her clothes and many blankets were decorated with her embroidery, both by hand and by machine. She crocheted miles of scarves, hats, and baby blankets; using them as gifts and donations. She always had thriving gardens; growing both vegetables and beautiful flowers. Her living room was filled with plants. She particularly enjoyed starting with a seed, seeing it grow into a veggie to feed her family.
She married the love of her life, Floyd Ellis Geasland, Sr. on March 29, 1969.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Dixie Adair and A.J Adair; her loving husband, Floyd Geasland, her ex husband Kenneth Greiner; brother, Arthur Adair, her beloved son, Mark Todd Greiner, and her grandsons, Mark Thomas Greiner and Dustin Clayton.
Her younger siblings include Arthur Adair, (deceased), Clarice Clairborn of Odessa, TX, Clayton Adair of Girard, KS, Rosalee Downey of Chicago, IL. They called her their "second mother" as she helped to raise them.
Jacqualin has six children, Jerry Greiner of Misson, Kansas. Mark Greiner (deceased). Floyd Geasland Jr. of Wichita, Kansas, Geri Lynn Geasland of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dale (Mary) Greiner of Topeka, Kansas and Robin Cox of Topeka, Kansas; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
