OBITUARY: Jackie Melton Lang

Jackie Melton Lang, 55, Topeka, KS, died Thurs., Oct. 12, 2006, at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center, Topeka. He was born March 8, 1951, at McKinney, TX, the son of James Melton and Alma Pearl (McKibben) Lang.

Jackie was an over-the-road truck driver. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970.

He was married to Victoria Compere on May 16, 1990, at Jackson, MS. She survives.

Also surviving are a daughter: Misti L. Fendley of Topeka; 2 grandchildren: Grace Hobbs and William Fendley both of Topeka; his parents: James and Alma Lang of Eddy, TX; and a sister: Jody Jacobs of St. Louis, MO.

Jackie was cremated. Memorial services will be at his home at 4:00 p.m., Sun., Oct. 15, 2006.
